Who qualifies to take this course? Do I have to hold any type of certification or college education before I can enroll in the course?

You must have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in a fitness field that included anatomy and basic physiology

	You must be at least 25 years of age
	You must have at least 2 - 3 years of full-time experience (after receiving the B.S. degree) as a certified personal trainer or in a position that requires knowledge in human anatomy/physiology, such as in physical therapy/rehabilitation or other health/fitness position.
	Proof of your degree and work experience is required prior to purchase of the course. A copy of your B.S. diploma w/visible seal and work experience must be submitted *BEFORE* ordering the course. Proof is to be mailed to AFTA, P.O. Box 253, Ripley, TN 38063. Please include your name, date of birth, telephone number, and e-mail address. We will notify you by email if you are eligible for enrollment.

The general questions in the exam include multiple choice, true/false, and short answer, and application projects.

The sealed exam and its instructions are included with the course shipment. The proctored exam is taken at your convenience and in your city/town.

How long do I have before my completed exam is to be submitted?

You have one full year from date of purchase to submit the exam.

What happens after I submit my exam?

AFTA will e-mail your exam results 8-10 days after we receive the exam.

What if I don't pass the exam the first time?

You can retake the exam 2 times within the 12 month period at no additional cost. A minimum score of 85 is required.

How long will it take to complete the course?

This will depend on your prior knowledge, experience in the field, and study time. The estimated time for completion is 3 - 6 months.

How will you send my course materials to me?

Your course will be shipped in 5-7 days (if purchase made by credit card or money order) by 3-day priority mail via the United States Postal Service.

Do I have to renew my certification?

Yes, you will need to renew the certificate every 2 years with approved CECs.
